i think i was in mumbai back then...there were productions made in telugu...so it is possible i don't even remember "madhyanam hatya" it’self...and details about that is far from memory "madhyanam hatya" in the beginning was started with indraganti mohan krishan nd while in the process of making he quit because of the creative differences between you two and you continued it i don't remember how can you forget such a big incident it’s a big incident for you...not for me i am saying that i forgot the whole movie...and you are asking me about the details of it..what can i say big or small is relative to the height of the people who see it

at my height i cannot see it...but for you..it’s big may be was there a time when you are working with other producers and they interfered in your work what would happen if they involve... never many people involve...they suggest things many times..and i many times even listen to them that is a very small involvement...but anyone asked to make changes in the story.. no one has ever forced me like complete story diversion no never

when i am the producer, being a director i will be having extra knowledge, with that attitude i do it when i take someone new directors don’t have a crowns on heads..that’s his job...when i don’t feel that he is doing it right...i do it while making shiva...you did a trail shoot with an artist vinod bala... he helped you with other artist’s...he was promised the character of jd..but later even that hasn’t happened he said the same when he was interviewed after you interviewed him someone sent me the link of it saw that link and thought he would be someone in the friends group in the movie after that i remembered that i did a test shoot with him.. which was very bad

if i had shown that to nagarjuna...the whole movie would have been shelved.. so i never showed it to anyone and broke the cassette, that’s what actually happened i might have said that i would give a role not just to vinod bala... but even to many others...i have even said the same about jd role to sai kumar, surya and to two or three new artists... but in the process of making we speak with a lot of technicians and artists but final decision depends on various other factors so you don’t remember vinod bala no i don’t...i mean i remember me shooting that scene.. but i don’t remember with whom i shot it with, as he said so in the interview...it must be him you said that you wouldn’t believe in god

but what if god gives you a chance like in the movie ‘24’ that you could go back and do things differently..what would you do?? what mistakes would you rectify nothing..i will not rectify anything... are you saying that you never did a mistake? no, mistakes are the part of life.. after you take a decision, it might go right or wrong... even when it is wrong are a point of time there are situations when that has become right again so, with my experiences i don’t regret anything

no i have done it many times…sometimes people will know…sometimes they don’t you might have repeated the scenes…but doing as it was only twice..what i am saying is…when you are making something for the second time you might lose some excitement…does it kill the movie..as you have experienced both my job is only to make the movie…how receiver takes it depends…but i don’t lose the excitement your excitement my excitement will be the same same you will be watching a movie for two hours…i will be taking different decisions and doing different things on that day… so i will not be having continuous high while making a film for 50 or 60 days in the movie attack when people saw vadde naveen they were excited…i mean after many days he is back…we expected that you will be showing something new…but you have done the same as other directors…why have you disappointed the audience do we really need to talk about the movie attack…

then he said that he don’t work for money with me…he wants the experience of working for me…then i said that you are a fool..because.. the name that you need to get…you have already got for raktha charitra..if you work with me again..you are not going to get anything extra…you are not going to get additional credit.. then if you are working for me leaving the money…it is foolishness and i don’t work with fools and in the same raktha charitra the directors whom you have considered in the beginning..dharma and raksha…even they have travelled three years with you…why is that sudden decision of removing them and directing yourself… that is what…there will be hundreds of people like this….i take them…remove them… even vamsi is also there in that list..the time when i spoke with dharma and raksha and the final product has no link…when there is an idea..we speak with someone about the making… they even spoke…after that…do they have the experience to capture something with that intensity… secondary at that particular time…we even thought of making it with jagapathi babu… after that we have stopped the project for an year and retook it…

you just know dharma and raksha…in the same way there were five people in my mind who were changed for that movie yeah for that movie i mean you people have travelled for three years i don’t get it…have we travelled in train for three years…what is this travel mean?? they might have believed only your movie… i might have met them thrice in those three years, maximum really what can i do more than that

you people have even opened an office in punjagutta… we never opened the office…it was already there these people come and spend there for two years…what is the result they had i was not there in the office for two years….there are hundreds of people in the same way…. if you say indraganti mohan krishna, dharma, raksha….if you say that u have wasted the time of hundreds of people…i would say its correct..don’t pull each name… you have done it to several people…. many people….hundreds..not one, two or three what is your objective… we will be testing them..thinking the project in a certain way..after that if the project doesn’t workout very well or my mind has changed…or we got someone better…there are various factors

just for that… yeah even the assistants of your…at least in some parts..they have your influence on them…like jd, teja..what happens…do they change after they become your assistants or do you select those sort of people two factors might be true…because i like independent people…someone who can take their own decisions..someone with attitude…and may be they can even get influenced watching my behavior..because many people tell me that my assistants imitate me… when you have a strong personality..that happens…i cannot generalize it…there might be like that naturally too jd follows you very much…have you ever brainwashed him? i never brainwash people…the only brainwash i do is to tell not to get brainwashed what is that…don’t get brainwashed??

the only brainwash i do is to tell not to get brainwashed these days…people who are making movies are more than audience… many people say that rgv who has taken telugu film industry to next level also degraded it by using small cameras like 5d…that is the reason why the range of industry has fallen down that is an extraordinarily stupid thing… because…making a movie…and releasing it has a fundamental difference..with the new technology…at the time of shiva… the magazine like american cinematographer was impossible to get..it used have about the new equipment , lights or explanation of how a scene is conceived by the technicians in a film… it used to be available in annapurna studio…as i was a subscriber there i used to get it… only i used to read it when i was trying for a break in film industry while roaming around the studio or only one or two books used to be available about cinema making in a library… the idea for a filmmaker let him be in anakapalli, chikkadapalli or vuyyuru..his father may not give him money or he might have responsibilities..because of these factors..

you’re passion dies.. you cannot take a decision because of these factors..due to the digital revolution everybody has the technology of filmmaking is available to them… when i took 5d like four, five years back…today this phone has 4k, 4k…that is the difference between 5d and arri cam…in the resolution of the footage… someone has to take the step…for the first time kamal hassan used avid in a film kuruthipunal..before that they used steenback…now we cannot think about the industry without avid and fcp… then all the editors without the knowledge of avid operation vanished… so that revolution comes for every few years…few days back i saw a director in an interview that rgv is degrading the industry by using any camera he like.. has that director was born with horns?? can’t no one can make films..if a guy proves himself by the way he make a film and content if not 5d he can go to america and make avatar…it depends on that guy… in democratization everybody should get the tools that he wants…like education…it should be available to everybody..

after he gets them…how he impresses the remaining is his talent… not just because he made it.. these people don’t get it… not hundred…make thousand films…ten thousand films… but after it is made to release it…to get the theater and for people to like it…those hundred films will only be get there…even if you make ten thousand only those hundred movie will come out.. a guy who travelled with you told me that…your inner thought is to get rid of the scrap what… scrap..even if hundreds come and make it… any material…cinema is a product…when you go to a shop…there will be lots of materials..glasses…many types..many things will be made in the country…do you know who makes it…do you have any idea…

finally there will be equation between the way he makes and the sale..cinema is also just like that…people collaborate and do something… does someone else will like it or not is…will the normal product click or not is the same… so, people who don’t have any knowledge on cinema are coming to industry…doesn’t it affect.. how…how will that happen..a guy makes a movie… a distributor see’s it…likes it and releases it…that could become a hit…or it might not..that is the same thing for every film.. this wasn’t there will there was film… digital technology is firsthand…in raktha charitra i used digital camera for the first time…everybody said…that it doesn’t have depth of field and latitude.. now everybody forgot film…film labs are closed..kodak company itself is closed…i predicted this five years back.. ok

with 5d…when dongala muta was flop..people blamed 5d..i made dongala muta with 5d…it was a flop so people said it’s 5d’s fault… with the same camera…maruthi made a film called erojullo…that was a super hit… if i have made dongala muta with arri5 its fate would have been the same…and if erojullo was made with arri5 it would have been a the same hit.. it is because of the content of the movie…not because of the camera… when you have encouraged 5d so much…why haven’t you continued it… 5d is an outdated equipment…there are cheaper camera’s than 5d now…lot of people worldwide are making films with cell phone…extraordinarily… when i made raktha charitra…people who said..with red epic….red one camera has 2k cheap resolution.. in the same year…slum dog millionaire got oscar for cinematography by using a camera that is one grade lower than redepic that is si 2k… even after all these years..i will be the first guy to understand technology worldwide…

mac is the most richest company..they made an add called 30years of mac last year completely shot with iphone… why because…they know what iphone can do…we only know to talk and take selfie’s with it….it is obvious that the people who invented it…know it… ok.. yeah.. you have worked with mani ratnam on gayam and thiruda thiruda…after that you people haven’t collaborated…any particular reason… see…we haven’t worked even in that films…both of us went to a story discussion…he didn’t like my ideas… and i didn’t like his ideas..we just gave credits for both of us in our films in a friendly manner…there wasn’t my contribution in thiruda thiruda…or there wasn’t his contribution in gayam both of you are at different poles all together…you are fast and he is slow…i mean sensitive… do you still have relation..

it wasn’t there even then…we just talk with each other in a friendly manner…i don’t like his stories…or he doesn’t like mine. .then what will we continue…and what will we travel…i like some of the scenes in his films….he doesn’t even like my shots…leave about scenes…he doesn’t like my films, scenes and even shots..he didn’t even like shiva… what are the films you liked of him.. some songs i like…and some… who is your favorite director right now.. actually i like foreign films…i don’t see telugu films at all.. but you speak good about rajamouli… ofcourse…more than rajamouli’s films…even when i spoke about him in ramuism..i spoke about bhaahubali without even watching it…

i like his vision..i like the way that he is taking forward cinema..i can have issues in the film..as a filmmaker…as a visionary…as person who is pushing his limits…i respect rajamouli… you say that you don’t watch movies…that you don’t watch telugu movies.. i do not even see hindi movies… then how do you know about what is happening in the market.. you don’t get anything from it… i haven’t watched anything even at the time of shiva… isn’t there any relation between that and the movie you are making… suppose an artist… i express something…lets take shiva…it is nothing like before… why…because i think differently..then what will i learn watching other films..the subject i liked…the excitement i got from it…a character..a dialogue…

i keep these elements and make a movie..if a last week’s film is a super hit…audience liked it..i don’t copy…because..everybody copies…those films doesn’t run well… how do you know what happens in the market…suppose you don’t know bramhanandam…you have called him and gave him a character in your film…if you don’t know that he has a comedy image.. that of course..whatever decision i take…i study their past and background..i see those scenes.. thats what i am asking of course.. we spoke about the your birthday photos with girls…and other issues like talking negatively about god… what is the message you are giving to youth by this… when an elderly man speaks they generally need to speak with caution.. youth, children…that is all in our mind…i used to steal money from my dad’s pocket…feeling that children don’t know anything is foolishness…

i used to get angry on my mom when she asks me to do my homework…i used to feel that someone should die… because i could get a holiday…then how am i innocent? am i the only person who thought like that..or everybody, is up to you… when we are in teenage or youth…even at my times… we all know everything..everybody used to have their own independent ideas…and in this times of social media… if people think that youth would get influenced…those are the most foolish people… they all know everything… what they want to do.. there is no one there to listen now… all the youth know a lot more than elders..

when someone with an image says something.. nobody will listen..nothing will happen.. have i heard…i haven’t heard 25 years back…who will now?? at least at that time apart from parents, teachers or some other 4,5 sources there was no chance to receive information... even then we never listened to them…now people have many sources like phones and internet…as the number of sources increases…independence will increase…that is very very related so whatever you say…youth doesn’t need to follow you.. they will not… if someone follows..they are just sheep heard… let’s say that two people…one flop director…and one hit director approached producer ramu..with two stories

what.. what a flop director with a very good story…and a hit director with a very normal story….what would you prefer… there are two points in this..if you think commercially…business will run well with the super hit director…how i don’t think like…i am just giving a thought process… do you know the story?? or the guy who already gave a super hit…does he know…it depends. .i don’t think like a producer…personally…according to my attitude… i would prefer a story that excites me… but attaching the word producer to me is a mistake…it would be degrading the word.... even after making so many flops…youth still say that they came to industry because of rgv.. there are many successful other directors.

.they say..that you still remain as the god in the industry..what is the magic behind this…how do you analyze this.. i think in my opinion… for the movie to become a hit… there is something like..content… stardom..dialogue… sometimes songs… but while shooting a scene…the framing…composition back ground music… many times in airport people say that your frames are really good… just with one shot we can find that it is your movie while watching it in tv..even though we haven’t watched it in theater… when that individuality comes…after you get inspired…there should be that individuality in you work..when it is not there…people will forget it..many times even the super hit films.. for example…the film 2012 is a super duper hit..even in telugu dubbing…it created magic…recently jungle book..but nobody knows the director… because you felt good about it in entertaining aspect… but when i was studying engineering in vijayawada…jaws was released for the first time…everybody on the next day started speaking about steven spielberg…

how could he leave a mark with only one movie…it is an impossible thing.. but by way it made people feel that something is there in maker we saw many english movies before… we don’t know about a single director…but steven spielberg was registered… individuality… similar thing happened with shiva.. ankusam, gharana mogudu might be a big hit..collections wise there was no much difference than 10-15%.. when the impact comes..and when you could see the variety…suddenly a name will be registered… that’s the only answer i can give…

that is because of my personality….whether it might be good or bad…rgv’s background score, camera work and sound effect style becomes a person… a big director in telugu told me like 2 years back.. he got three hits in a line in telugu he told that " sir i don’t understand… you have made many flops…i have given three straight hits…but all the new assistant directors want to become rgv…but not me.." the reason behind that is individuality… that is how you standout..for example take music…many people delivered super hit music… but only ilayaraja and a.r.raham standout… even thaman, manisharma and devi sri prasad delivered super hits..

everybody knows them…that is because of the individual impact… ilayaraja has a style…that left an impression on you…for a long term you will still remember him as a great music director… even if his music still runs or not..that doesn’t make much difference for him.. recently in mumbai…a 25 year old music director said that his inspiration is ilayaraja.. have you given the same answer to that director… no..i haven’t answered.. as the topic came about ilayaraja you have worked with senior technicians like ilayaraja, a.r.rahman… but now you are working with new people…is it because of the budget constraints..

first of all…this is a myth…there is no link between the budget and hiring a senior technician.. because…when you hire a senior technician…you will get the corresponding price..there is no link with the budget… senior actor or technicians doesn’t depend upon the budget.. when you hire a star hero…the remuneration you give him is relative to the sale value… when you hire rahman..you will receive relative amount from audio compnay as remuneration you paid to rahman..that is not he point.. then why you… because of the speed of thinking…and my understanding…i believe that i don’t need them… because the i don’t need that kind of music for the films i am making…. same thing goes to camera man…i gave a lakh to to amit roy in sarkar..

now he is getting two crores.. i will not even give 2 lakhs to him now…because..i can bring hundred people like amit roy…isn’t amit roy a great cameraman?? that’s not the point… i have camera knowledge…i know what to and how to do it..they are buying impact…as i know how to create it..i will do it in another way… you said in an interview that you don’t know what lens is… i don’t…i don’t know…i don’t know anything about lens….people say that i am a good technician…but there is no one less knowledgeable than me.. then what is your sense… compostion…i know what i want…this is the light i want… for the movie anaganaga oka roju.. rasool was gopal reddy’s assistant..

i called him for doing a movie he has a clash with some nagarjuna’s film.. then a continues still photographer came to meet me… i asked him if he could the camera work.. he said…how can i do it…there is a camera…u can get the focus…you will know it if the light is good or bad by looking at it… i said what else is there in camera… he said..he will try…i made the film with him.. vamsi and everybody got tensed…and said..lets see the rush… i said what rush??

we get what we are shooting…second..focus is set by focus puller…arri camera has a focus puller..he measures it with tape…and keeps the focus… what we are seeing with the eyes is what we are getting…what will we go and see in the lab… the film is completed…people said photography is fantastic… is the photography good…or is urmila beautiful..people do not even know difference… photography is a sum total effect of location, girl, boy, makeup, costume, art direction..all these combine and record in the camera.. when you like the image…how will a anyone know what cameraman is doing… basically…dop is a big myth…there is no big lie than cinematography… don’t you think that there is nothing like lighting sense?? your eyes are sense….if you like it or not itself is sense…what else is there…

whatever there is in the camera…. that’s it.. when you are making it on film..you will never know… why not.. for example…for shiva...gopal reddy made several movies before…why shiva’s photography is different because…he shot it in the way i see it.. do i know camera? i never went into set before…how can i change his whole style.. because i had clarity… i need a shadow on nagarjuna’s face…when he comes this way there should be a streak of light…i am telling this out of common sense… i never asked to keep backlight, front light or where to give the filler or what grade filter should i use…i never told…whatever i saw…the same reflected on screen

have you both had any clashes between you two…him being a senior cameraman and you being a first time director.. no…because…i was able to explain to him with that clarity… even gopal reddy said that no one has ever told me something with so much clarity what to do in the shot. .because i already saw how the shot should be in my mind.. and in the making of shiva…people say that there is a huge part of teja in it…is it true.. i heard that you even said…after me if someone has to get credit for shiva its teja… me and teja were very close before shiva…while explaining scenes .. like that out of all the people i know...he used to have a lot of knowledge…he wasn’t very educated… we used to see a lot of english movies in vcr together..how those shots were taken..discussion and so on…

and with a dedication..he brought add film books…he made the designs with shadows, silhouettes etc..those times..posters used to have actors faces..but no concept…. when he showed these concepts…i have got impressed and insisted in doing it that way with nagarjuna..he also used to give me a lot of feedback creatively. is the chain thought his idea? do u mean… i mean…the title poster..with the chain…is that scene his or yours? scene is mine…we used it in college…may be in discussion…he might have said something…we used to discuss a lot… we cant say which thing belongs to me or him the poster with the chain.. thats what i am saying

to give importance to the chain in the poster is teja’s idea.. and while introducing the nephew of nagarjuna…sumanth in the movie prema katha… they gave you the chance of making it because they believed that you could take him into the market. .but you haven’t focused on it necessarily.. how far it is true why would someone make a bad movie… no filmmaker or director would make something like that.. for any movie…it will at least take 5 to 6 months..pre production, production and post production.. audience will watch it for 2 hours..will someone waste six months of their time?

prema katha was started immediately after two or three months of satya…something like that… i told nagarjuna that i don’t know whether people will expect that kind of story from me or not..so i asked him to okay the story by himself.. because thats not my sensibility i always think of ratri, shiva..adventure…action entertainer..but not a normal love story… so everything was discussed… i don’t know whether it failed in story or my direction failed…but i never did it carelessly… u have concentrated on it just like all the other movies… you said…you don’t remember indraganti mohan krishan and vinod bala…but how could you remember teja? our journey was a lot..

you said you forget everything…how can you remember this teja and me are very close…i don’t remember exactly…but we were close for at least four or five years..and the other things are impact…me and teja shared a lot of incidents… your memory will always be on the impact you had.. and your close friend satyendra..many people don’t know it…even i don’t know it…i am ask out of curiosity…what is your relation with him.. satyendra is almost like a teacher…i don’t like the word…but if i haven’t met satyendra in my life…i would have been different.. i don’t know what the difference is..have i connected with him because i am like that…or i became like this because of his presence in my life is a question with no answer… because now i understand what satyendra said to me in the college..after 30 years.. i am underastanding now, what he said... some times i suddenly remebers them

he is the most intelligent man i have ever met in my life…i am including the books i have read, the people i have heard of..he is a superior person than all of them.. the logic, rational thinking, knowledge including cinema..he has…i have never met anybody like him…i always intimidate people… but i used to feel pressure in front of him..to impress him..or he will think something means he may think that i am stupid… i used to continuously try for his endorsement..i never felt such intimidation with anybody in my life.. are you people still in touch?? very rare.. where is he now?? vijayawada..he is a professor in an engineering college..

in a relation that has impacted you so much..tell us some incidents in it… as it is not easy to create an impact on you.. one day both of us went to watch papilloni in urvasi theater in vijayawada..he was very famous in the college as an extraordinary intelligent.. ..he has that reputation in the college..even in the class..he used to come to the college with toothbrush in his pocket wearing chappal.. he used to sit in the last bench…take a paper from a guy beside him and that’s his notebook…while the lecturer is teaching..he used to get up and ask a question about the subject… lectures used to get tensed because of him.. he was going out of the class in between…when asked why?? he said i understood what you are trying to say..and left… i cannot waste the time where you try to make everyone understand and left..many incidents like this happened with satyaendra… one day both of us went to watch papilloni in urvasi theater.

.in the interval we met our college principal in the theater… what at that point of time…we had our exams…he asked us why have come to the movie in the time of exams. .he knows satyendra because of his reputation and all.. and satyendra said there is more to learn from this than your college education… i am coming to this movie for 7th time… principal said…i didn’t find anything special in this… satyendra said i saw something that you haven’t seen…when you have seen it.. then principal said..if you saw it..then why do you need to see it for 7th time..

satyendra asked why do you f**k you wife everyday… so., the point is…he will say it with such intensity that people will get intimidated..and they will not take it as an offence… satyendra was 20..maybe 19…my principal was 50,55 years old.. my principal don’t know me…i was just his hang on… satyendra asked why do you f**k your wife everyday and still looking at him…and he just turned his face around and left… he didn’t take it seriously… after 5,6 years…after his retirement… after 10 years he wrote an essay..”the student that i cannot forget”..her wrote it for a book..he used to create such tremendous impact on people..

i has so much influence of him on me that..sometimes i sit around with friends and talk to them about him from 9:30 in the evening 3:30 in the morning…about our relationship and all… he was two years junior to me.. when i was in 3rd year…he joined in his 1st year of engineering..maximum his age used to be 17 or 18.. by then he already read the books of friedrich nietzsche, ayn rand, arthur schopenhauer, descartes.. his knowledge in english at that time…i have never seen anyone like him..many people say that my english is good..i cannot speak english in front of him.. i am afraid..because i know the limitation of my knowledge.. so, a guy from vizag…in 1983 with such tremendous knowledge is still a mystery for me.. but i have updated got updated only because of him..i read my first philosophy book because of him.. i heard the word philosophy because of satyendra…i understood cross questioning, analytical way of think because of satyendra…..

so that impact is tremendously there on me why aren’t you in constant touch when he gave such an impact to you that is because of him..basically he is a guy doesn’t want to become anything in life… may be .. he said this himself…your ability…i want to become rich..i want to earn name..or i should become a big director..or a businessman.. when you don’t have any ambition of this kind…how much ever intelligent you might be…you will still be yourself… that is what satyendra is..he has no ambition..we measure people according to their ambition.. when you want to become something…how far are you to that..you will be having a measurement.. ..when you don’t want to become anything…he is probably just happy reading a book…or writing a book

did he know that you speak so good about him.. i don’t think he care..i am sure he knows.. i wrote an article in my book na istam..and many times i even spoke about his influence on me.. ..he knows it like information…he is absolutely beyond emotions..he doesn’t care that ramu likes him..ramu respects him..he don’t react to such stupidity… he might have the information about me…but he won’t speak at least 1% in how much i speak about him.. because i am a topic of no interest to him.. the same thing happened to you by not remembering people.. obviously… i didn’t create any impact on him…so he won’t remember me…as he created it on me…i remember him.. is he a family person??

he din't married how do you think he feels about you… the main point…that you give importance to anybody is because of the impact you create on him.. satyendra created it on me.. but i haven’t created anything on him…for him to speak something great about me… to create an impact on him i never said any clever word or any book. i haven’t contributed anything to him… i learnt from him.. just because rgv is more popular among public than satyendra..you would feel why doesn’t he care..but satyendra don’t care my popularity… he don’t care anybody’s popularity..i told you that i don’t remember vinod bala…the distance between me and vinod bala is same as the distance between me and satyendra..

ok ok ok as a director…that movie became a trend set .. if shiva was a flop..vinod remembering the incident is a questionable thing… it would have been an experience.. as it has become such a trendsetting and impactful film…vinod has that memories in him… but in my 25year old journey..after making different films…meeting different people..seeing good, bad..coming to mumbai.. after meeting people like bal thackeray, subrata roy and amitab bachan… i cannot remember small memories like that…i have different things that created impact on me.. similarly for satyendra..i’m vinod bala..that’s what i think it is..these are all relative degrees.. i am not saying big or small..i am measuring it by the impact he created on our life..the way we think…only then we would remember that guy so much…

just because we met and spent some time that emotional bonding will not come.. i speak about satyendra for two days…satyendra cannot speak about me at least for 10minutes.. i’m very sure.. don’t you ever try to meet him.. no, i met him last like 10years back to vizag for some work. .then i tried to meet him..he was in a hotel..he came out from his dad’s house..he was in a room of size 4x5..we keep such kind of rooms for our production boys. i have called him from down stairs… he used to call me ram gopal… i said..this is ram gopal..he asked me to come..that’s all..we would expect some kind of excitement..but there is nothing..

you would have got shocked.. i went up..he opened the door..i went inside and sat…there were these cell biology books… what he did was engineering..after sitting there for 30seconds..i can see that he is bored… the mind state that he was in that point… i was an irritant for his mind state..we many times…we we are doing an interesting work or experiencing something interesting… then if someone whom we are not interested on…or some situation that we are un expecting occurs…the way we feel a kind of boredom.. that when will this guy leave..or when will this be over..i felt that he is feeling that way…i just sat there for two minutes and i came back… hasn’t he asked even your number? he has my number..he messages me once in six months or eight months..something about his books..i don’t think he even messages me specially…

he shares it with some people… he doesn’t have friends..he doesn’t have relatives..i many times feel that… when i was a student…as he was my fellow student..i was in a way…now in the same college…is he a professor..for mechanical department.. now? yeah now..in the same college..siddartha…i don’t understand the ratio between his students and him…it is my biggest suspense.. because we used to be in the same room…go to films..we used to spend a lot of time…then speaking to me in that association..and now speaking with a bunch of students in the classroom…is my biggest mystery.. but i am sure..anyone who knows him..cannot stop observing his brilliance..they should be unimaginably dumb not to.. why was he in that small room? we never had money then… not then…now??

now..because he came out of the house..so he doesn’t take money from his father.. he is earning..he is working in college… not now..now he is working in college…when i met him…this is 10, 12 years back actually.. what was your position then…i mean how many years back… 10,12 years back… even then he was working…in some gandhi institute…but, his expenses on books are too much.. automatically how much ever he earns… he spends all that money on book..so he might not care..where his live in…so rather than spending on those…he will spend on what he likes and buys them..that he how he thinks.. haven’t you felt like you need to help him..when he was in that position.. he doesn’t need help…

let’s say his salary is 50thousand…even if he gets 10lakhs…he will still be in the same room.. he feels that he don't need more than that when his father gave money to him…he used to just take it out like a bunch..and give it to me… he used to feel irritated counting…and sharing it to people…he hates money..even to touch it… according to you…he is more intelligent than you…but in that position..how do you analyze this.. i get scared..because.. nietzsche said…the tree stands lonely here on the hills..it has grownup high above man and beast..if it wanted to speak… there is no one tall enough to listen..the more intelligent you become…there is less scope for you to interact.. even if you are very intelligent.. but what can you do if you have sheep in your company?? will sheep listen to you? no..they don’t have the ability to listen and understand you…

when you grow upto the state of satyendra…there will in no interaction..as i cannot live like satyendra… what he is enjoying or what he is experiencing…i cannot even understand it..as sheep cannot understand me…i cannot understand him.. so basically i get afraid..that if i grow up to the stage of satyendra…today i am enjoying a lot of things… like films,music, girls or this office..there are so many things that i enjoy in my life.. if you see in that measurement… satyendra doesn’t enjoy anything..but does he want to do…will he like it..is a hypothetical question.. because..it should be from his feeling…we cannot suppose anything in the matter of satyendra he is enjoying that state of mind.. i don’t know..but i don’t comment…because..i am not qualified to comment on him…when you are commenting on someone..you should have the capacity to understand them… when you don’t have it..asking to do that or this is will be my foolishness..i am fool compared to satyendra…but not so much that i would comment on him..

after satyendra…you have travelled so much national wide..haven’t you met at least one person of his kind? no..nobody..not so touching.. after satyendra…after many many steps…i believe i’m intelligent…if we forget satyendra for a while… i haven’t met someone who read as many books as me…and as knowledgeable as me.. what is your everyday life style… morning after waking up at anytime… let the night be 2 or 3..i wake up by 6’o clock..i sleep three and half to four hours maximum..in any given day after waking up...i will watch porn compulsorily for fifteen minutes… after that..i see a movie or a documentary..depending on my time..when there is no shooting…i will be having more time..so i will watch a movie..

you said that you watch porn at first? yes..porn video..and if i don’t have a lot of timei might watch a documentary for 45minutes.i watch a documentaries most of the time.foreign documentaries the reason to watch porn is..sexual stimulant releases a chemical called endorphin..it gives us a high..they you will want the same high all day.. the same high… you have already got a bench mark..after waking one will slowly become active…around 95% of the people lead their life with boredom…doing something… but when you watch porn for fifteen minutes immediately after waking up all your stimulants will be on the top stage...i use it as an energy tablet u can even get that through sex, right no no..sex has both beginning and end of various additional stories..it will be a chase after the cut, scene cut and chase...only porn can do it..real people can't do it…time for real people is evening…

because i will have time for buildup and all…there will be time for pre and post production.. only porn could give that kind of the sudden excitement even if there is a girl at night in your bed...even then you will watch porn? 100%, that's a standard thing…that is the first thing i say to a girl if i am in a relationship..i use this as a theraphy..if you feel bad about it lets not go ahead.. after waking up doesn't the girl feel like...why is this guy watching porn when i am beside him that is the reason i am giving..i am crystal clear about it… for example when i am talking to a girl…she was expressing her views about aap party… i said, i like to have sex with you than having a conversation with you..she got offended…i told her that i am telling you about what i like about you…i like your thigh’s… the views you are expressing about the aap party are reducing the beauty of your thigh’s…the impact is diluting..then as a sincere guy..is it not my responsibility to tell her that..

recently you are tweeting about donanld trump. why are you rendering so much support to him? i am tweeting about him because he is a new topic. donald trump is the new girl in my life. so, you do not leave any topic? obviously, people will respond on the topics which interests them and which are in the news. why you alone are responding on them? why not others? because i have the capacity to respond on them. others might not have a view about the subject or they might not be courageous enough to express their view. so, what is the political scenario there? will donald trump win? i do not know anything. i just like him. i do not even know from which party is he contending from? i just like to watch and listen to him that’s it. infact, i like kcr but i do not know anything about him and telangana.

rgv: true! i do not even remember holding cash in my hand. it has been years now. tnr: so their might be few who might betray you. rgv: yes! there are few. yet, this is the decision that i took. be it nature or brahma(creator) you have few restrictions to you. you cannot fly and can just walk. some one some talent that others don't have in the same way i have this in my dna. even after having threats and many other things around me i am still living in the way i want. you might have heard many things, but have you ever heard that rgv has failed in doing something which he wanted to? that is as simple as that. i wanted to take break from bollywood for some days and i came to hyderabad. people said that i failed in mumbai and came to hyderabad. i took a decision over night and came back to mumbai. and, i put a bigger office than before. these are all speculating, and i do not think of the people who think about me because, i do not have free time. they have so much free time so they are thinking about me. i feel, if they use the same time for themselves there is a small chance for them to grow in their lives.

rgv: if i have 4 crores with me i will take up a work which is worth 8 crores. if 40 crores are there i will keep 80 crores work. so. always my work will be more demanding than the money i have. because of that i will never have money. so, i will earn more because of the work load and its effect. tnr: till now the most sensational film in telugu is shiva. why did you not make any sequel for that? rgv: i think shiva is an outdated subject. college students and their resonance, rowdies is not a situation anymore. tnr: a sequel cannot be the same, you can pick an subject right? rgv: i am not the same person who directed shiva. i am not working in that sphere anymore. i watched shiva when me and nagarjuna wanted to make a documentary for the 25 year of shiva. i watched it after 25 years and i did not like it at all. because, i am a changed person. i may be worse, i am not saying i am better. it could be worse and it could be different. after studying mumbai mafia, pulling out a cycle chain and hitting someone seems to be a childish for me now.

but, of course that time period, that exposure and that thought is different. whereas, satya is still fresh. i watched it recently after 18 years. shiva is old fashioned whereas the satya is ageless because of the characters and their relations. shiva is a structurally designed film. it is not a realistic film. it seems to be realistic because of the atmosphere tnr: do you make any calculations for making a film or do you go by the thought? rgv: i go by thought. there won’t be any calculations. tnr: anytime in your life. did you say i love you to anyone? rgv: many! tnr: before or after marriage? rgv: both before and after marriage.

tnr: can you share any such interesting episode? rgv: it is my personal tnr: you are already open right? rgv: i will tell my personal things. interesting episode means, should i tell her name or what should i tell. tnr: i mean that particular block in the movie. do not tell the name. rgv: i used to like a girl named satya in my engineering days. she was a medical college student. in those days, they used to run a medical college in our compound. their building was being constructed and they were using our college for time being. they were the one’s who have joined after paying 1,00,000 rupees donation, whereas we have joined after paying 10-12 thousand. so, we used to have inferiority complex. but, there were many girls in medical college compared to ours. and, satya was most beautiful amongst them. she used to come in a blue premier padmini car. i still remember the car entering our college and the background score i used to get in my mind.

rgv: i might have said sridevi, actuaaly but nearly for 10 years i was in love with jayasudha right from the release of jyothi. sridevi happened post mr. india film. before that like veta gaadu and 16 ella vayasu movies time she used to have sex symbol type image and, that personal level fascination has begun after i came to the film industry, when i was making my trials as an assistant at annapurna studios. originally, i used to like jayasudha in my college days, it was like an obsession. i used to look at jyothi wall poster for hours. later, when srivari muchatlu was being shot, i took my dad’s help and went to see jayasudha. she was yawning when i have seen her and i could not bear a film star behaving like a normal individual. i was disappointed and felt betrayed. when you see someone on such big screen with lights, dialogues. they disappoint you when you see them in real.

i have seen amaradeepam 7 times for one close up of jayasudha in one of the song that too when our examinations were being held. later, when i was working as an assistant for raavu gaari illu, my director asked me to give scene paper to jayasudha. for the first time i got an opportunity to stand closer to jayasudha. .and, i was the writer, so i wrote it again and again whole night and tried to make my handwriting look better and took the scene paper to her in the morning when she came to the set i imagined that she will be impressed and would enquire about the writer. and i wanted to appear as the writer in front of her. i did all the editing for this scene in my mind and was waiting for her reaction. when i handed over the scene papers to her, her immediate reaction was, “how many pages.” obviously after acting in so many movies she might not be excited looking at a scene. i told her the number and when i wanted to narrate the scene she asked me to just tell the shot. her reaction killed all my love towards her.

later, when i was producing money i wore the best shirt that i had and groomed myself well and went to meet her at her home and rang the bell. i couldn’t see anything other than the chest of giant like nitin kapoor. then, my love story came to an end there. i knew that she was married but when i met nitin kapoor i felt that i am very small in front of him. tnr: did you discuss these things with her? rgv: yes i did but not in detail. tnr: what was her reaction? rgv: she won’t believe it. she says, “you say all these thing and you talk about sridevi” these are all parallel tracks. tnr: your near and dear say that even now you feel bad for delaying in proposing sridevi. do you still feel guilty for that? rgv: whatever i said i have already written that in my book ‘naa istam’

rgv: see first of all, a cinema would be in an editing room. they put a mark as ‘censor copy’ in the edit room. further work would be done on the same copy, like sound effects and so on. it could leak from any source, i sense that censor board leaking the film is impossible. because most of the time, censor people would watch a film in a theatre and they will not have a control on that theatre. no one is actually handing them a copy of the film. and, we are organising everything for the show. so i don’t think censor would procure the copy from the theatre and upload it. it happened for pawan kalyan’s film attarintiki daaredi. such a precious copy of the film will be in the hands of 50-60 people who would be drawing a mere salary of 5-6 thousand. so anyone from anywhere could leak it. so, reasoning that the film is leaked from one particular source is wrong. it might i am not denying that it won’t. but, when you have so many chances you cannot frame censor board. many a times, the copies that were sent to film festivals will be leaked or the copies that were sent for special effects are getting leaked. so, no one conclude when we have so many sources. tnr: so do you think that this is planned?

rgv: i don’t believe that. anything can be planned, i am not saying no to that but, proving it is impossible. because, the motivation to leak the film might be done for fun or out of rage. mischievous behaviour can be found in many people. when someone is confident that they will not be caught, many people will do such things. one more thing, attarintiki daredi was leaked many days before the movie release. yet, it got good openings and this did not affect it. same thing happened for boom. the movie was leaked 3 months prior the movie release. yet, there was no effect on the opening. tnr: did you plan a biopic on uday kiran? rgv: never! i do not even know who uday kiran is. i have never seen him. tnr: you never heard his name?

rgv: i heard his name that’s it. i did not even see his photo. tnr: you said that you will cast your vote for the first time if pawan kalyan enters politics. do you still feel the same? rgv: no, i felt that then and i do not feel it anymore. tnr: why? rgv: because, i left hyderabad and came here. i have to come to hyderabad if i have to vote. tnr: please say it in detail? rgv: thats it. tnr: you feel agonised when the review writers write reviews about you and your films. why? rgv: i did that once, because they misquoted me. if someone says something about me i do not worry about it.

tnr: was that issue brought to your notice? rgv: there was no issue about the camera. we did not have any differences recently. tnr: ok. was that brought to your notice? rgv: it did not, when i am the director it will come to my notice. but, it did not. tnr: coming to family. i was told that you are a good father and a real caring person to your family. but, why do you project yourself in a different manner to the society? rgv: first of all, the person who told you do not cognize what i am. there won’t be any other anti family person as i am. what is a family? what is caring? tnr: it is feeding them and serving the essentials. rgv: is there anyone who do not feed family? tnr: being the person who hates family?

rgv: selfish! ofcourse. i am selfish and self centered. it is more stronger than selfish. tnr: you have tied the woman you loved? could you narrate your love story? rgv: my love story is like any other love story. it just happened. i did not know that i am not fit for marriage. but, i made her believe that i am fit and she relied on it. tnr: what is the first shocking incident after your marriage? rgv: as in? tnr: i mean, any situation where you felt dejected about the wedding? rgv: she was shocked. i did not. because, she did not recognize that i am self centred till then. tnr: selfish, in which situations? rgv: everything. i do what i want to do. she came to know that i will not compromise for anyone after our marriage.

tnr: i was told that once your wife asked you to get a milk packet. could you tell me that incident? rgv: she woke me at 5:00 am and asked me to get milk packets from milk vendor. and, i said no. because, i chose sleeping for few more minutes than getting a milk packet standing in queue and having a coffee. she asked me “how to prepare coffee then?” i said, “if you want go and get it.” tnr: so there were many incidents as such? yes.. tnr: your daughter was born when you were shooting shiva? rgv: yes! when shiva has begun. tnr: many say that your success is because of your daughter. rgv: i guess, kodandarami reddy garu has congratulated me. i thought he congratulated me for my break. i did not even get the thought that i was wished for having a baby.

because, wishing someone for having a baby seems stupid for me. every human and every living thing has that capacity. why should we congratulate for that? i felt that wishing me for getting a break, despite having no film family backing is better aspect to congratulate me. tnr: so you do not believe that your fortune is because of your child? rgv: no! i do not feel so. but, having a husband like me is an unlucky thing for my wife. also, i feel that no family should have a self centred person like me. tnr: if you had the same awareness you wouldn’t have married right? rgv: yes! correct. i did a mistake but my wife suffered for that. tnr: how can you change it? rgv: i cannot. because it is related to feelings. so i cannot reconstruct that. my daughter looks me like a species in the zoo.

you said that you won’t go to marriages…have you been to abhishek bachan’s marriage? i went to abhishek bachan’s marriage because amitab bachan has warned me that he would beat me…i was afraid of him so i went.. you were selfish even there… as i feel like an alien there. and, i get a physical discomfort on that point as i do not find a topic to talk to and my mind stops functioning. then i was in hyper speed and my mind will be running constantly in over speed when, i was having lunch at home and i was thinking about something. my mother asked me to have some more, i said i will stop eating if you serve more. she asked me why, then i answered, “ you are breaking my thought asking about the food and you are forcing me to decide whether i should have some more food or not? and i respond very negatively to that. but, where as serving some more food and expressing affection is a nature driven thing to you. but, my love is diminishing towards you as i am getting riled.” as, i have explained this whole thought process she will not repeat it.

what is your opinion about chiranjeevi’s 150th film.. 150th film.. 150,151 or 149…number doesn’t make a difference…collections will not go high or low… what is your opinion about his re-entry.. i am the last person that you should ask that question…because i don’t see telugu movies..nobodies movies.. so commenting on chiranjeevi’s movie is meaningless.. i don’t know telugu audience…or films.. he has performed on stage after many years..have you seen it? no.. i haven’t..

'. without expectation why do we release a movie? we had the same expectation for aag and sarkar. now your upcoming movie roy belongs to the same category of gangsters? yes same.. can we expect a new genre from rgv in the nearby future? in india, there is no director who tried any many genres as i did. i did movies about gangsters, political rowdism, faction, love stories, comedies, caper film, adventure film, horrors and thrillers. tell me one director who has made these many genres. as, i have individuality all my films look same. that is my taste, there is no link between genres and style. i am really glad that you are the guest in my show also for being a part of my 25th episode.
