so we're on the norwegian pearl cruise ship, this is the pacific ocean out here, we have a wonderful balcony suite, or balcony room. which means we get our own private patio door here,
Yoga Pearl River Ny, and a couple of chairs, and we can go out and watch the seagulls or check things out in port, or watch the whales, we saw a few humpbacks. or eagles.
everyday on, constantly, there's an update on the tv, for the ship. and we have a beverage section here, where the coffee maker is, not sure that's in every room, do you know? no, it's not in every room, i think it's balcony rooms and up. okay yeah. and we've brought our own teapot along. yeah, we like tea so, and different herbal teas too, so you can get this little travel teapot,
to bring along and it's wonderful to have. so, one of the things that aren't too plentiful on, in any cruise ship are plug ins, so we brought our own little charging station along so we can plug in our iphones, or ipads or whatever. and our tea kettle. i'm not sure how much that'll carry. but, there is a wonderful king bed in here. and it gets, we have a steward that turns it down, that's vanessa's favourite guy on the planet.
yeah jeffrey. jeffrey. jeffrey, yeah. very nice. ha ha ha! and he always makes these little animals out of towel, folded animals yeah. they're great. i'll throw one of those in the movie maybe. so, and we also have this little couch, that's wonderful also. and everything's wonderful today, for me. hairdryer, and some more plug, there is one more plug in over here.
and the gorgeous bathroom. we brought our own water filter along. yeah, well the water on the ship is drinkable. yeah. you can drink it, but it's full of chlorine. so it's really good to bring a water filter, you get the small brita's with five cups, so it's really, i really liked it. to have it along. the bathroom is quite big, there's a toilet, separate toilet with a separate door,
actually, so it's very private, and i was amazed to see that. water pressure is good in the ship, and there is a very large shower, one side you turn on is power, like the water itself, and the other side is the mixer, and it's got a telephone shower here. and they give you soap and shampoo. okay. but if you want to, you know, conditioner,
or you want to have your own shampoo. yeah, we brought our own shampoos and things along, but there is a dispenser in here. not sure if that's every cruise ship or not. towels, same thing, if you want them, if you want fresh ones, you just leave them on the floor. that's the international towel rule. it looks like there is a razor plug up there, if anybody still uses electric razors.
and wonderful storage, first of all, there is a minibar here, the drinks aren't too expensive particularly. huge closet, we actually had everything hung up in here, but now we are just getting ready to leave, so we've got our two suitcases packed in here. they've got their life jackets on top of that. and one of the things i really liked in here, was a securities small safe,
you can throw your ipads in when you're not using them, anything else, travel documents. what else can you add here, vanessa? i brought, here's a little make-up session, you know, section where you can do your make-up, but many suggested it, other people, you know, to bring your own magnifying mirror, make-up mirror, which i did, a little travel mirror. also bring a little flashlight.
so, okay flashlight. yeah. and for some reason, bring ziplock bags, because you can put everything in ziplock bags, and you can actually see what's in it. also, because you are on a ship, if you need medical attention bring your medication, whatever you have, but also bring a first aid kit, with antiseptic cream, and some.
i brought a tensor and i brought some bandaids, and i also brought some iodine, because if you need anything, it's complicated, and it costs a lot of money, and if you have. because you are on a ship, which is its own little world, so you have to take care of yourself a little more than you normally did if you were on a holiday somewhere else. so you have easy access, right? yeah.
so there is a hairdryer that comes, comes with it, and you bring the ziplock bags to put everything in. yeah, i have everything in ziplock bags, i don't know how to show you. because there has been a lot of issues with cruise ships being very important. you know where one person gets sick, the whole cruise ship gets sick. it's good to disinfect everything. yeah. they do that each time you go in the cafe,
or any of the food. they do it. they spray your fingers, with a disinfectant. but, former guests also suggested to get one of these, and wipe everything down. wipe the hairdryer down, the handles down, everything, you know, the lamp, the tv control, especially. coffee machine, just wipe everything down. takes two minutes. yeah. and bring it along, to wipe everything down,
because you don't know. yep. so we did that, we're, we've made it through six days without getting sick, so that's a good thing. mm hm. maybe we can take the credit for that, or not. i don't know. and everyday the room is tended very nicely. yeah. it's turned down in the evening. in the morning, it's the beds are made up, if you want, or you can have totally private.
and there is fresh ice, fresh ice everyday. you get fresh ice. yeah. fresh ice, yeah. and you have a little dial outside the door, where you can say welcome, or don't disturb, or turn down the bed, or make up the room, you have the four options there. and you can just leave it for your steward or stewardess yeah. okay.
