[ silence ] you guys are going to listento my directions, and you’re going to -- if i tell you to use your chair, you’regoing to need to be by your chair. but otherwise, you’re going to bejust on the floor, okay? so this is a yoga session that’sgoing to get us from silly to calm
yoga lesson plans for kids , so that we canbe ready to learn, okay? because sometimes we get extra sillyin our bodies, and we need to get out the silly wiggles,and this is what’s going to get us rid of those silly wiggles, okay?
so the first thing that i want you guysto do is the bunny breath, okay? and i want you guys to kneelon the floor. goodbye. okay. we’re going to dothe bunny breath, okay? and we’re going totwitch our noses like a bunny. can you guys show meyour bunny twitches? okay. and you’re going to takefour quick breaths in through your nose --your bunny nose.
and then you’re going to breath outthrough your mouth in a long, smooth sigh, okay? so we’re just going to do thisfour times with four breaths in… …hooo.bunny breath. …hooo.two more. and one more. okay.stand up, please. and now we’re going to energizeour bodies, and we’re going to reach for the sun, okay?
and we’re going to standwith our feet shoulder-width apart. and we’re going toreach up for the sun. and we’re going to pull it downinto our basket, okay? so we’re going to go up… …and pull it down into our basket.and up. and pull the sunshinein our baskets. and up. big breath, and out. and pull that sunshine in.
and one more.pull it. all right.nice, big breaths. and this one we’re going to do isshake like jelly and untie our knots. so first of all, though, we need to pulland untie all of our knots. and we’re going to untie the knotsthat are in our jaws and we’re going toloosen them up like this. okay? and then we’re going tountie the knots in our neck. and we’re going to roll our neckand make it all nice and loose. and then we’re going tountie the knots in our shoulders
and get those all loosened up. and we’re going tountie the knots at our waist. and we’re going toget those all nice and loose. and untie the knots in your hipsand get those all nice and loose. and the ones in your knees,get those all untied. okay.so we’re all loose. and then we’re going toshake our bodies like jelly. you’re going to just go crazy.just shake-shake-shake-shake-shake- shake-shake-shake-shake-shake-shake-shake-shake-shake-shake-
shake-shake-shake-shake-shake. okay. and freeze.okay. all right.careful of your neighbors, though. now this one i want you to do --remember the pedal laughing? - yeah.- have a seat in your chairs. okay.have a seat in your chairs. now, i’m not going to do this onebecause i have a skirt on. but i want all of you guys toshow everybody else how nicely you can lean backand pedal and laugh.

whatever you feelmost comfortable doing. you may sit or stand, okay? so what we’re going to do isyou breath in, and you think about a volcano explodingat the very top, okay? so you’re going to breath inthrough your nose. and explode outthrough your mouth -- phhhh! breath in through your nose. phhhh! - [inaudible].- uh-huh. breath in through your nose.
let me see, [louis]. and out. breath in through your nose,one more. very, very nice.okay. do you guys remember tree? - yeah.- yes. - yeah.- okay. stand with your arms -- whoops.not yet. stand with your legsshoulder-width apart.
now if you need to havethe support of your chair, you can get thesupport of your chair. otherwise -- here, this chair’snot going to work. otherwise you can try to balancewith your foot on the ground. otherwise, if you feel like you can,bring one leg up and reach your finger topsto the sun and balance. if you need to stand with the supportof your chair, you can. reach. reach. concentrate on something in the roomand stare at it so that your concentration and focusis engaged, okay?
switch your legs.bring your arms down. we’re going to switch our legs.arms down. and now balance your footon your leg or on the ground. and reach your finger topsto the sunshine. reach your leafy treetopsto the sunshine. yeah. that’s it.okay. and then come back down. and now we’re going to calm and quietour bodies and be ready to learn. this one is titled ragdoll ann & andy.
and what we’re going to do isyou can sit in your chairs. no, sit in a different chair. sit in your chairs. and what we’re going to do iswe’re going to tighten up -- tighten up our body tight. close your eyes.squeeze your eyes tight. clench your jaw.squeeze your jaw. shrug your shoulders up.make it nice and tight. make fists.tighten -- tighten your toes.
tighten your leg muscles.tighten your tummy. tighten everything in your body andsqueeze for the count of five. [children counting along]one, two, three, four, five. and then relax.bend over and let everything just melt like a ragdoll -- melt. and hold it herefor the count of five. and then come up. - ms. wenzel, when are wedoing the one [inaudible]? - hm. we’ll do that oneanother time maybe.
- awww.- oh, please? - okay. nope.the last one we’re going to do -- - is take five.- is take five. this is the last one in our series,and this is the one that we’re going to help our minds and bodiesbe calm and quiet. so you can either sit in your chairs,which is what i would like for you to do now is tojust sit in your chairs. or if you want, you cancriss-cross your legs in the chair. or you can sit on the floor.that’s fine.
but i’d like for you toit in your chairs if you'd like. that’d be the best. okay. you ready? you guys ready? what i want you to do is you canclose your eyes and relax your mind and breath in for the count of five --or you can keep your eyes open. however you’re most comfortable. and breath in for the count of five.ready? breath in.
one more time.breath in for five. and out for five. okay. all of that fresh oxygen is inour lungs and it has cleared our minds and all of the sillies and the wigglesare out of our bodies. and our minds, [louise],are ready to learn, aren't they? okay? all right. - can we do -- can we do the[inaudible] one? - [chuckles] not now.
